"Entrepreneurship is the pursuit, creation and capture of extraordinary value" –Daniel Isenberg, Professor of Management Practice, Babson Global
Our main goal is to link entrepreneurs with the information and technical assistance they need to be successful, regardless of where they are in developing their business venture, where they live and work, or what their next challenge or opportunity might be.
We also work closely with communities in their efforts to achieve excellence so that local businesses will be successful because people want to live and work there. This is accomplished with customized surveys and assessments, planning workshops and implementation mentoring.
Business, community, economic, and leadership development information is extremely plentiful on the Internet. We see no need to duplicate what others have created. Our goal for TCRE.org is to add value to other sites, fill in the gaps, and help you utilize more fully the information you do find.
Texas Center for Rural Entrepreneurship
TCRE is a 501c3 non-profit corporation created to establish neutral ground to facilitate the delivery of educational and technical support to meet the needs of rural entrepreneurs and organizations supporting entrepreneurs and the entrepreneurial spirit in rural Texas. The collaborative nature of the organization and the strong emphasis on efforts aimed at successful entrepreneurship are demonstrated in our operational plan.
What We Do
Much of what TCRE does is summarized in our Achieving Excellence diagram. Many of the educational and technical assistance programs, management tools and surveys we offer communities and businesses are described briefly by the diagram. Additional details about each of the items are available to download.
Your suggestions, questions and comments are always welcome. Email us at email@example.com and we will get back to you as soon as possible. We are always looking for better ways to bring entrepreneurs together both with other entrepreneurs and with those providing them technical assistance. There is also considerable interest in how we can better help communities plan for a brighter future and achieve excellence.
